The Working Group has identified a two-fold approach to developing conceptual models of the Critical Zone (CZ) encountered at each of our ABRESO study sites. The first approach mirrors those of geodiversity schemes, i.e. using a GIS-based approach to quantify the diversity of characteristics that define the CZ in each watershed. This approach informs the second which is to develop three-dimensional conceptual diagrams of the CZ at each site.
